EVITA SE PERRON

"Evita se Perron"

is situated at the old Darling Railway Station in this picturesque West Coast Village, 60 minutes drive from Cape Town on the R27.
The Perron offers top entertainment from Evita Bezuidenhout, Pieter-Dirk Uys, and other artists in cabaret, comedy and music.

"Perron Number 1" is a small, intimate theatre that seats 80. It is famous for the collection of boerekitsch on the walls, reflecting some of the most extraordinary historical (and often hysterical) milestones in South African history.

"Perron Number 2" combines the restaurant-bar with cabaret and seats 120 people around tables for lunch or dinner, while they enjoy the performance.

Alternate seating is offered outside in the sheltered courtyard or on the Station Veranda next to the railway line.

"Evita se Kombuis" offers a superb selection of Boerekos with a twist.

"Bambi's Berlin Bar" is a fully-licensed wine, malt and spirits bar, catering for the specialist with a superb wine list. It is also the only winebar in the world that offers the exclusive Evita Blanc,Evita Noir and Evita Amber wines.

"The Bapetikosweti Duty Free Shop" sells souveniers that reflect the fun and originality of Evita's Boere-Baroque. The selection can be seen in the merchandise section of this site.

"Boerassic Park" can be found next to the railway line in the shadow of huge trees and the quaint yellow "Darling Station" sign. It is a garden filled with pretty local blooms, exquisite flowers from Taiwan and satirical garden gnomes. The garden also offers a stage for open-air shows and is filled with satyrical sculptures by some of South Africa's leading artists such as Phillip Barret, Adrian Köhler, Carolyn Lewis and many more.
